The Inner Clutch Basket fits inside the Outer Clutch Basket and mates with the input shaft of the Transmission. When the clutch is operated, the fibers and steels form a friction connection between the Outer and Inner Clutch Baskets, transferring power from the Crank to the input shaft of the Transmission. A used Inner Clutch Basket will be complete and fully functional with no excessive wear. All spring mounts will be intact and undamaged, all splines in good condition.
